Review – Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask
I’m always a little wary when I see a product with a ton of good reviews because sometimes I feel like people have a tendency to have low standards when it comes to ordering products online. I would rather have an overly critical person review a product so I know what the real deal is. Wish no more, your critical reviewer is here. Recently, I moved from a humid climate to a dry climate. All the moisture from my skin has been sucked up and I am constantly battling dry skin. The biggest battle is chapped lips.
There are days were they will get so chapped that they bleed. Or I will peel the flaking, dead skin off and be left with a raw patch that is extremely sensitive to anything touching it. I’ve tried moisturizing masks, chapstick, and tried lip scrubs to attempt to make my lips heal. Ordering this lip mask was a desperate attempt. I have been pleasantly surprised by how well it works though. I put it on before I go to bed, and take it off in the morning (8-9 hours later) and my lips are in really good shape. I have been using a lip scrub in the morning as well and its taking off a ton of dead skin, but my lips are super moisturized that they don’t split or bleed. In fact, they don’t dry out until that night when I am getting ready to put it on again. I see a lot of people here complaining about how greasy it is, which I feel like should have been super obvious.
This is basically a super strong vaseline that needs to last for hours. Of course it’s going to be greasy. My one and only complaint is that I am really not sure how to take this stuff off in the morning. The mask is thick and does not dry out. It’s just as sticky as it was in the morning, so it can’t really be wiped off. This is mainly why I use a scrub because
I have found that it takes the mask off.
